Jennifer Applbaum
Jennifer attended her first fundraiser for cancer when she was sixteen years old, just one month after her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Twenty years later, she is still passionately committed to the global fight against the disease. With over 10 years of corporate event planning and fundraising experience, including tenure at leading brands like The Coca-Cola Company, Jennifer is able to combine her professional skills and enthusiasm for LIVESTRONG through the creation of Dress 4 Yellow. Jennifer lives in Southlake with her husband, Lee, the Chief Marketing Officer of RadioShack, and their son, Bennett. In addition to her work for LIVESTRONG, she serves as President of The Clariden School Parent Organization and is a member of The Junior League, as well as a dedicated supporter of women and children’s community organizations throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
Lee Nagel
Lee lost both her parents to cancer and was then diagnosed herself at age 36. Having won her battle against cancer, Lee felt a responsibility to use her experience to help others. As supporters of the LIVESTRONG Foundation, Lee and her husband, Steve, have learned a lot about grassroots fundraising. They started the Swing Fore! Yellow Golf Tournament in 2009 and have raised over $800,000. Lee is continuing to use her personal experience and dedication for LIVESTRONG through the creation of Dress 4 Yellow. Lee lives in Plano with her husband, Steve, and their two children, Sara and Andrew. In addition to her fundraising efforts for the LIVESTRONG, Lee sits on the Methodist Richardson Medical Center Foundation Board and visits patients locally, as well as a being dedicated volunteer at her children’s school.
